Company Auditions

Students do not need to attend with their parents

 

September 6-10, 2022

What to bring:

Ballet attire plus layers/shoes/shocks to put on potentially for modern or jazz.

Please have your hair pulled back neatly in a bun.

Jr. Company schedule

Tuesday 5:45-7:30 (class and choreography)

Wednesday and Thursday 3:30-5:30 (class and choreography)

Friday 5:00-6:30 (Auditions)

Sr. Company schedule

Tuesday 3:30-5:30 (class and choreography)

Wednesday and Thursday 5:45-8:00 (class and choreography)

Friday 5:00-6:30 (Auditions)

Saturday Sept. 10 rehearsal for Crane Festival, time TBD

Company Requirements

SENIOR COMPANY - To be a candidate to audition for the senior company, dancers must meet ALL of the following requirements:

  • Be a registered student enrolled at the time of auditions.

  • Be enrolled in a progressive program level 5 and higher​ 

  • Be at least 13 years of age OR in high school student at the time of auditions.

JUNIOR COMPANY - To be a candidate to audition for the junior company, dancers must meet ALL of the following requirements:

  • Be a registered student enrolled at the time of auditions

  • Be enrolled in a progressive program level 3 and higher

  • Be at least 9 years of age at the time of auditions

To be accepted as a member of either company, dancers and their families must understand and agree to the following :

  • Attend scheduled rehearsals through the duration of the season.

  • Adhere to our absence policy regarding rehearsals and technique classes (see below)

  • Attend and participate in out-of-town dance conventions

  • Pay the full company fee. This payment includes all rehearsal time, travel expenses, out of town workshop and in-studio workshop fees, group competition costumes, matching company warmup attire, professional photography/video rights.  There will be fundraising opportunities and payment plan options available.  

AGREEMENT WITH POLICIES AND ELIGIBILITY TO AUDITION DOES NOT GUARANTEE PARTICIPATION IN A COMPANY

Absence Policy

The following will be grounds for removal from a dance or in some cases

suspension from the company: 

  • More than 3 absences from rehearsal (even if they are excused). ALL absences must be addressed as soon as possible to be considered excused.

  • More than 5 excused absences from any 1 technique class 

  • More than 2 unexcused absences from any 1 technique class 

  • 1 unexcused absence from rehearsal

This policy extends from the first to the last day of company rehearsals/performances.

 

Exceptions will only be made under extreme circumstances and addressed on a case by case basis (not to include family vacations, even ones that were planned in advanced, or school events).
